Premium Ceremonial Grade Matcha, First Flush (Harvest of 2024)

The REAL ceremonial grade matcha is made from the most tender young tea leaves that have been grown in the shade. Because the leaves aren't exposed to the sun, they produce more l-theanine and chlorophyll which makes the matcha taste smooth and slightly sweet and also gives it a vivid green color. If your matcha has dull green color and a fishy smell to it - it's not made from the right type of leaves aka doesn't bring the joys and benefits that matcha should bring! Our Premium Ceremonial Matcha is thick and creamy, the taste is mild floral and lightly toasty with notes of fresh pine nuts and umami. Recommended preparation method: - 1/2-1 tsp / 6 oz water (or milk if you're making matcha latte) - 175-180 F - Sift matcha to avoid lumps - Add about 1 oz of water and whisk with a chasen or use a milk frother until smooth and frothy - Add the rest of the water or mix in the milk Enjoy! *for cold matcha, use more matcha powder as most of the taste and nutrients get extracted at higher temperatures so the taste won't be as vivid if you use cold water with the same proportions
